Baandhani – Bags with a cause

Hello Ladies, it’s sometimes good to splurge. Especially when the cause can allow another woman to splurge on basic things like daily nutrition and her health and her children’s education!
Giving a shout-out to all of you out there who would like to make a difference by buying these amazing bags made by the slum women in the towns of Pune and Sangli in Maharashtra.
Baandhani which means ‘building together’ in the Marathi language is an informal federation of women living in the slums of India. These bags made by women based in Pune and Sangli, are reusable and environmentally friendly. Each bag sold provides much needed income to the women and their families. And what’s more they are as kitsch as they come!
